Clinical science.
Product discipline.
Real outcomes.

I’m a health technology product leader focused on building systems that drive outcomes in longitudinal care. Over 20+ years, I’ve built and scaled platforms that improve adherence, engagement, and clinical performance across complex care models.

My foundation in NIH-funded mHealth research gives me a different lens than most product leaders: I understand behavioral science, IRB constraints, and what clinical validity actually requires. That foundation shapes how I design systems—not just features.

Today I apply that approach to AI-enabled health systems — using LLMs and EMR integration to extend care beyond the visit, while maintaining reliability, safety, and clinical grounding.

Longitudinal Care Systems

Designing end-to-end patient journeys that sustain engagement, reinforce adherence, and support behavior over time — not just at the point of care.

Behavioral + Clinical Design

Applying behavioral science, motivational frameworks, and clinical evidence to ensure systems actually change outcomes — not just deliver information.

Real-World Deployment

Building for complex environments — including safety-net systems, multi-state care delivery, and regulated reimbursement models.

AI with Guardrails

Embedding AI into care systems with structure, validation, and clinical grounding — ensuring reliability in real patient interactions.

Health Decision Technologies
Founder & Principal
2011 – 2021, 2026 - Present

Built and commercialized digital health platforms translating NIH-funded research into real-world care systems across HIV, oncology, smoking cessation, and behavioral health. Focused on interventions that measurably improve adherence, retention, and clinical outcomes in complex and underserved populations.

  • Designed and deployed mobile, web, and messaging-based interventions that improved retention and adherence in safety-net populations
  • Partnered with NIH, academic medical centers, and public health systems to move from research protocols → deployable clinical products
  • Led end-to-end product lifecycle including IRB-aligned design, behavioral modeling, engineering, and real-world implementation
  • Currently building Project BRIDGE — a deterministic governance layer for clinical AI systems, separating generation, validation, and repair to ensure behavioral fidelity
  • Developing AI-supported survivorship systems for oncology populations, extending care beyond the clinical visit
FlyteHealth
Senior Director of Product, Patient Experience
2021 – 2026

Led product for a 50-state virtual cardiometabolic care platform, building an end-to-end longitudinal care system spanning patient experience, EMR workflows, and AI-supported engagement. Drove step-change improvements in retention, adherence, and operational scalability.

  • Owned the patient experience platform (v0 → scaled product), supporting national telehealth delivery across all 50 states
  • Built Ask FlyteHealth, an EMR-integrated AI assistant leveraging clinical data, content libraries, and patient context to deliver personalized care guidance
  • Designed and deployed deep athenaOne integration, including scheduling, messaging, medication workflows, lab ordering, and billing — enabling a unified care system across clinical and operational domains
  • Improved retention, engagement, and NPS through continuous experimentation and lifecycle optimization
  • Enabled scale without proportional staffing growth by embedding automation and AI into patient and clinical workflows

Operating inside real clinical systems — at scale

At FlyteHealth, I led the design and deployment of a fully integrated care platform within athenaOne — enabling longitudinal patient journeys, clinical workflows, and operational systems to function as a single system.

Clinical Workflow Integration
Embedded patient journeys directly into EMR workflows — from intake through ongoing care — enabling clinicians and patients to operate within a single system.
Operational + Financial Systems
Aligned scheduling, billing, and care delivery models to support longitudinal care — including subscription-based programs within regulated reimbursement environments.
Data + AI Enablement
Integrated clinical data, analytics, and AI systems to support personalized care, automated workflows, and scalable patient engagement.
This level of integration is what enables longitudinal care to function in real-world environments — where clinical, operational, and financial systems must work together.

Systems designed to drive outcomes in real-world care environments.

FlyteHealth
Driving adherence and outcomes in longitudinal virtual care
Built and scaled a 50-state virtual cardiometabolic care platform designed for sustained engagement, medication adherence, and real-world outcomes. Led product across patient experience, EMR-integrated workflows, and AI-supported engagement — aligning clinical care, operations, and billing into a single longitudinal system.
  • 86% adherence in GLP-1 naïve populations
  • 50-state care delivery at scale
  • High retention without linear staffing growth

CAREiSCOPE
Designing for access, behavior, and real-world constraints
Translated NIH-funded research into a deployable care platform for underserved populations — addressing access barriers, social determinants, and sustained engagement in HIV care. Designed a behavioral economics model that converted mobile data access into an engagement and adherence driver — within regulatory constraints.
  • +119% retention in care
  • +64% improvement in viral suppression
  • Significant reduction in ED visits and hospital utilization

A decade building evidence for what drives outcomes

Before building AI systems, I built and validated digital interventions that improved clinical outcomes — across HIV care, substance use, and patient engagement. This foundation informs how I design products today: grounded in evidence, behavioral science, and real-world effectiveness.

Co-author on multiple peer-reviewed studies demonstrating improvements in retention, adherence, and clinical outcomes.
